Receiving Monero #

Current wallet address #

To receive XMR to your Monero wallet within the Cake Wallet app, you will need to provide to the sender - or use, the wallet’s address. A wallet’s address can be found by swiping to the left of the balance screen. Here, you can copy the address by tapping the copy icon, or the QR code shown can be scanned instead. To receive to sub-addresses, tap on its label and you will now be able to copy the sub-address.

Addresses (or sub-addresses) #

A sub-address is a unique address that can be generated at any time, to obscure the main address of the wallet. Coins sent to it will still arrive in your main wallet, but the person sending the coins cannot determine the main address. To create a new sub-address, tap on “Addresses +”, create a name for this address, and tap “Create”. Sub-addresses always start with “8”.

Receiving Bitcoin #

To receive BTC to your Bitcoin wallet within the Cake Wallet app, you will need to provide to the sender - or use, the wallet’s address. A wallet’s address can be found by swiping to the left of the balance screen. Here, you can copy the address by tapping the copy icon, or the QR code shown can be scanned instead. You may also tap “Next address” to change the receiving address.
